INSTRUCTOR INTERVIEW
Q1...In what year did your Taekwondo journey begin ?
I first started training in Taekwondo when I was 21 (1991) in Brisbane, due to work moving to the Gold Coast training had stopped. Until I found a Shim Jang dojang close to home.
Q2...What prompted you to start ?
I've always loved martial arts since I was a young teenager and after trying a few different styles taekwondo was seemed to suit me best.
Q3...What have been the main highlights during your career as an instructor ?
Nearly a decade of instructing has brought many highlights; I guess my highlights are every time one of my students gets promoted to Black Belt.
Q4...Do you have a favourite technique ?
Sliding hooking kick, spinning elbow strike, back kick and many many more
Q5...Do you have any advice for beginner students / new members ?
What you put in is what you get out!!

Rob Jensen holds a 3rd Dan Black Belt with the World Shim Jang Taekwondo Academy.
Rob is the Regional Instructor in charge of the W.S.T.A’s Gold Coast Area and teaches class at Pacific Pines and Upper Coomera on the Northern Gold Coast.
Pacific Pines and Upper Coomera classes are a real success story on the Gold Coast and is a direct reflection of Rob’s hard work & dedication to the art.
